Classic Meat Loaf

Ingredients

1 pound ground veal
1 pound ground pork
1 pound cooked lean ground beef
2 Tbsp butter
1 large onion
1/2 medium green pepper
2 clove garlic cloves
2 Tbsp half-and-half cream
1 tsp ground thyme
2 large eggs
1/4 cup dried bread crumbs
1 tsp table salt
1 tsp black pepper
6 slice bacon, uncooked

Instructions

Let the meat come to room temperature in a large bowl. Melt the butter in a skillet and saute onion, green pepper and garlic for a few minutes.

Add all ingredients into meat and mix thoroughly with your hands.

Shape into loaf in a 9 x 13 inch pan.

Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a meat thermometer registers 140 degrees. Remove from oven and let it rest 10 minutes before serving.
