Spicy Turkey Chili

Here's a recipe I got from Weight Watchers in about 1983...when I checked out Weight Watchers but didn't join. (Had I then, I might not be where I am today - dang it!) I ran it through my Recipe Renovater on-line and was thrilled to see how low in points it was! My family's been eating it for years and had no idea how healthy it was...suckers!

Serves 6 generous portions at 3 POINTS per serving

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground turkey
1 medium onion(s)
16 oz canned diced tomatoes
1 cup canned tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 Tbsp chili powder
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp white wine vinegar
2 piece bay leaf
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

Chop onions. Spray 3 qt. saucepan (or larger) with non-stick cooking spray. Heat onions and turkey over medium-high heat until turkey is browned. Stirring occasionally. Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally until chili is thick. Approximately 25-30 minutes. Remove bay leaves before serving.
